More About Me

After an award-winning 37-year career in national television news, Kathleen O’Connell brings her passion for storytelling, design, and human connection to real estate. A former Executive Story Editor and Senior Producer at CBS News, Kathleen helped shape hundreds of hours of primetime programming for 48 Hours and CBS News Specials—earning Emmy, Peabody, DuPont, Murrow, and Robert F. Kennedy Awards for excellence in journalism.

Kathleen now applies that same editorial precision and creative vision to helping clients buy and sell homes throughout the Hudson Valley, where she’s lived since 1997. Having raised her two sons in Sleepy Hollow and now residing in Irvington, Kathleen knows the character and rhythm of each river town. Her impeccable eye for interior design and understanding of how people feel in a space allow her to guide clients toward homes that truly reflect their stories.

Beyond real estate, Kathleen serves on the Board of the Weill Cornell Children’s Brain Tumor Project and is a fierce advocate for pediatric cancer research. She also volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for children in Westchester County Family Court—work that reflects her lifelong dedication to advocacy, empathy, and meaningful impact.

Whether producing national television or helping a family find their dream home, Kathleen’s mission has always been the same: to tell stories that matter.
